BIOGRAPHY

Yu Ailin was born in January 21st 1997 in Chengdu, China.

Growing up with an artistic soul, Ailin sees art as a manifesto liberty and identity. She works with a variety of media whether traditional or digital in the past 15 years.

Ailin has also mastered her practice in painting, photography, illustration and films. Using the langue of art aided with the fluency in Mandarin, English and social-leveled Japanese, Ailin demonstrates the idea of liberal, erotic and sometimes dystopian.
 

Her works focus on different aspect of Asian women that has always been portrayed falsely in the media. With her, art is to evoke the original impulsion, to indulge the cynical taste and to perceive the intuitive notion.
